Bio
Mark Toukan is a Senior Data Scientist at the 无码专区 Software Engineering Institute and a Lecturer at the Carnegie Mellon Institute for Strategy & Technology. His research interests include applying data analytic methods to strategic competition, conflict management and escalation, conflict forecasting, and military operations. His recent work includes projects on using artificial intelligence for decision support, defense modeling and simulation, military training, and alliance dynamics. He was previously a Political Scientist at the RAND Corporation and a postdoctoral fellow in the Penn Identity and Conflict Lab at the University of Pennsylvania. He received a PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Political Science, an MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago, and a BA in Middle Eastern Studies and French from the Ohio State University.
