How to Update Your Password for Email and Wireless

If you've recently changed your Andrew password, chances are you'll need to update it on some apps such as desktop email clients or wireless networks. Here are some step-by-step instructions on how to bring your password up-to-date for:

Google Email Accounts

Below you'll find guidance on updating your password on some of the more popular desktop email solutions.

After you’ve changed your password, you will be prompted to enter an updated password when you open Outlook 365.

No update required. The application will automatically pick up the password from Google.

  1. Tap Settings > Google > Manage your Google Account.
  2. Tap Security (top).
  3. Tap Password.
  4. Enter your new password, then tap Change Password.

No update required. The application will automatically pick up the password from Google.

Wireless

In order to enter your updated Andrew password for the 无码专区-SECURE network, you'll need to:

  1. Remove the 无码专区-SECURE network from your device.
  2. Reconnect to 无码专区-SECURE. Note: 无码专区-SECURE will not appear on your list of available networks until you are on campus. 

Step 1: Forget the 无码专区-SECURE Network

You can be on or off campus when completing this step.

  1. Click Start > Settings > Network & Internet. A list of wireless networks will display.
  2. Click Manage Wi-Fi Settings.
  3. Under Manage Known Networks click 无码专区-SECURE and click Forget.
  1. Click System Settings > Network >Wi-Fi.
  2. Click the three-dot menu icon near 无码专区-SECURE and then Forget This Network.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to forget the network.
  1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > 无码专区-SECURE > Forget This Network.
  1. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi > 无码专区-SECURE.
  2. Tap Forget.
  1. Click the time (bottom right).
  2. Click Settings > Network.
  3. Click Wi-Fi > Known networks.
  4. Click the 无码专区-SECURE network and click More > Forget.

Step 2: Reconnect to the 无码专区-SECURE Network

You must be on campus to complete this step.

  1. Click Start > Settings > Network & Internet. A list of wireless networks will display.
  2. The 无码专区-SECURE network should display in your list of available networks. Note: 无码专区-SECURE will not appear on your list of available networks until you are on campus. 
  3. Click 无码专区-SECURE
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Enter your new Andrew password.
  6. Follow the prompts to complete the setup.
  1. Click System Settings > Network > Wi-Fi.
  2. Locate 无码专区-SECURE
    Note: 无码专区-SECURE will not appear on your list of available networks until you are on campus. 
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Enter your Andrew userID and password, then click OK.
  1. Click the magnifying glass (upper right) to start a Spotlight Search.
  2. Enter Keychain access.
  3. Click the Keychain Access option that appears.
  4. Click login (left).
  5. Click Passwords (top).
  6. Double-click the 无码专区-SECURE network. 
  7. Click the Show Password checkbox.
  8. If prompted, enter your Mac password to approve and click OK.
  9. Click the Password field and enter your new Andrew password.
  10. Click Save Changes. You have now updated your Wi-Fi network password.
  1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
  2. Your device will display the 无码专区-SECURE networking under the list of Networks.
  3. Tap 无码专区-SECURE. Note: 无码专区-SECURE will not appear on your list of available networks until you are on campus. 
  4. Enter your new Andrew password.
  5. Tap Join.
  1. Find 无码专区-SECURE in your Wi-Fi list. Note: 无码专区-SECURE will not appear on your list of available networks until you are on campus. 
  2. Enter the following information.
    Note: Terminology may vary across devices. Contact your vendor for terminology specific to your device.
    • EAP method: PEAP
    • Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
    • CA certificate: Use System Certificate
    • Domain: wireless.cmu.edu
    • User certificate: Unspecified
    • Identity: Andrew userID
    • Password: Andrew password
  3. If prompted, verify and accept the 无码专区 wireless certificate. Note: You may not be able to select a 无码专区 wireless certificate on some Android devices.
  4. If not prompted, you will need to manually download and install the certificate.
    1. Turn off your Wi-Fi and manually  the certificate from the COMODO website.
    2. Install the certificate. Note: You may receive the warning This type of file can harm your computer... In this instance it is okay to proceed with the installation anyway.
    3. When prompted for the certificate, select either CA Certificate or the certificate that you downloaded.
    4. Turn on your Wi-fi
    5. Find and select 无码专区-SECURE from your list of available Wi-Fi networks.
    6. Click the Password field and enter your new Andrew password.
    7. Click Connect.
  1. At the bottom right, select the time.
  2. Find and select 无码专区-SECURE from your list of available Wi-Fi networks. Note: 无码专区-SECURE will not appear on your list of available networks until you are on campus. 
  3. Click the Password field and enter your new Andrew password.
  4. Click Connect.
